Where To Post For Fame?

Have you ever noticed a shopkeeper in an Indian flea market? He tries out his best to reach to his customers by shouting out interesting deals on his products. That’s how he makes himself stand out in comparison to the other shopkeepers and at the end of the day, returns home with huge amount of profit. The market is an appropriate place for him as he gets a majority of people who not only are shoppers but are interested to purchase something that he sells. Similarly, in a world where everyone is connected to the internet, it becomes quite tough to brave the odds and standout with your post which is mostly common. So where to exactly post and how to make sure it is heard at the platform where it is posted.

Facebook and Google are one of the most common place for businesses to pitch about their product/service. We see a lot of advertisements in these platforms and most of the time, we prefer to unfollow them or shut them out. That’s something that a marketer must take into consideration: Consumer fatigue. If the same post is presented in multiple interesting ways, then it can draw lots of attention. For instance, whenever I share a link of a travel website, then I seldom get any likes on my post but when the content is formed by me, like I share my own expedition account, it gets reaction and likes from multiple friends of mine. Hence uniqueness is a key feature to make your post attractive.

Pinterest, a platform that still hasn’t reached a peak in handling maximum internet crowd, is also a good place to post about something. The way you make your boards colourful and interactive helps your boards getting pinned by maximum users. It is a great platform to share photos and information about some topic.

If you have a good fan following from Facebook, then you may post your stuff on Twitter and Instagram and you can share the link with your folks. This way, you will be able to increase your followers from the same bucket of followers that you have and may also get good referrals to generate traffic to your account.

After huge success of Indian artists such as Carryminati and BBKiVines on YouTube, people are now posting tutorial videos and talent videos on this platform and reaching out to the world. As a result, everyone is into a business with these social media accounts. For completely professional and industry-linked serious content, LinkedIn is a good platform.

Thus different categories of content deserve different platforms and the user has to choose as per his/her convenience.
